Most of our students are not familiar with sterile processing. There is no need to panic, stress, and worry! Be Instrumental offers a variety of high-quality course options to prepare your next step in becoming a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST). We offer one- on -one tutoring after class and by appointments, updated course materials, hands-on practices, online CRCST review questions to help match you to your skill level.

A sterile processing technician is a professional who maintains the cleanliness of surgical
instruments, functionality, and ensures instrumentation and equipment are safe to be reused to
prevent healthcare acquired infections.
As a sterile processing technician, you are responsible for decontaminating, inspecting, assembling,
packaging, and sterilizing surgical instruments to maintain patient safety.
You will gain hands-on experience and learn the basics of sterile processing including:
- Understanding the sterile processing cycle
- Understanding microbiology and infection control as it pertains to sterile processing and
decontamination procedures
- Implement infection control practices to ensure the efficiency of best practices
- Learn basic instrumentation, wrapping of uncontained items, and management of inventory
Our classes will prepare you to work in hospitals, surgery centers, and physician’s clinics handling
many of the following:
- Cleaning, disinfecting and dispensing sterile instrumentation within a health care facility
- Working in a sterile processing department setting
- Being part of a dedicating team who takes pride in providing functional, accurate, neat, and
sterile instrumentation and equipment
- Find employment as a healthcare professional internationally and contributing to effective
patient care
- Becoming a CRCST which is offered by HSPA (Healthcare Sterile Processing Association) and being eligible for other HSPA based
certifications
Virtual Classes (Training of the Central Service Technical Manual 9th edition only) Tuesday and Thursday evenings
7:00 pm to 10:00 pm
Instrument training in class sessions are held on Sunday mornings only.
$2600 course fee includes welcome package which consist of the following:
New HSPA textbook and workbook, book bag, notebook, highlighter, pen, pencil, HSPA review question package, crcst review online practice exams, free tutoring appointments, background check, drug screening, surgical instruments training, and externship placement in a Magent status Healthcare facility.
Criminal background checks and drug screening are required for Extern Placement.
$600 is the minimum deposit required for enrollment.
